Thomas Norton was a London shoemaker who followed his dream and became the first CMS missionary in Travancore, southern India. In 1816 he founded a mission station and school in Allepie. Two years later his church was built. These stand testament to him today The greater part of his story is from his own journal and from letters written by Thomas and his wives.
